Every week or so, Rio Grande posts a call for entries on its Facebook fan page. These quick little contests call for jewelry and art objects that meet various parameters. We’ve asked for everything from filigree jewelry to cloisonné pieces. From PMC pieces to horse-themed jewelry (when we celebrated the Year of The Horse). The entries are always fascinating!
And, what does the winner receive?
The photo of the winning piece becomes our Facebook banner for one week, which means thousands of readers in the Rio Grande Jewelry Supplies Facebook community see the winning jewelry piece or objet d’art, and shower the winner with admiration. Readers also tend to share the winning image on their pages, which is wonderful free exposure and a very nice pat on the back! What's more, Rio will also brag about the winning piece in our Google Plus community; we announce it to our Twitter community of over 9,000 followers; and we post the winning image to our "Jewelry We Love"Pinterest board.
